Blackberry Cobbler

Blackberry Cobbler

A tart dessert perfect for anytime of the year.


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter 
  • 1 cup self-rising flour 
  • 1 cup sugar 
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream 
  • 16 oz. blackberries 
  • Crystal sugar (optional)

Directions

Step 1. 

Preheat over to 350F. Add butter to a 9 x 9 pan and place in over while preheating. 


Step 2. 

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, heavy cream and sugar mixing until combined. 


Step 3. 

Once butter has melted, pour batter into pan using a spatula to get into the corners. 


Step 4. 

Add berries to the top and sprinkle with crystal sugar (optional). 


Step 5. 

Bake 3-45 minutes or until berries and bubbly and cobbler biscuits are browned and cooked through. Serve warm with ice cream.

This cobbler is best served warm with some vanilla ice cream.
